RCC requests that participants at this year’s event wear purple, the national color for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, to show support and solidarity with victims of domestic violence.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The 2nd Annual Yoga on the Beach event is being held to honor the significance of that month. Through this event, the Resource & Crisis Center hopes to bring attention and understanding to victims of domestic violence. RCC exists to support survivors of domestic violence on their journey to healing and recovery. We ask the Galveston County community to join us at this event to show solidarity with victims.
We are excited to announce that Kathleen DiNatale, owner and yoga instructor at The Yoga Haven, will be guiding this year’s yoga and meditation practice, appropriate for all levels of yoga practitioners. Please remember to bring a yoga mat or towel for the yoga class. We look forward to seeing you there!
