Therapy Services
The Resource and Crisis Center has a team of Master's level licensed therapists that provide trauma informed therapy services to clients and clients' families that have been affected by sexual assault and or domestic violence. Therapeutic services include individual, family, and group sessions based on the the client's needs. Therapy is provided at no cost and is aimed at assisting the survivor in regaining a sense of normalcy, increasing his or her independence, and to promote the healing process.

Adult Therapy:

Individual and family trauma-informed therapy available.

Therapeutic relationship is based on trust and safety and views the client as the expert in their experiences while therapist helps set goals for trauma treatment.

Therapists use a variety of evidence-based interventions to support clients seeking alleviation from several symptoms associated with a variety of mental health disorders.

Clients also receive psychoeducation on common trauma responses, mental health, holistic trauma recovery, self-care, and support with ongoing safety planning.
Child & Youth Therapy:

Individual and family trauma-informed therapy available for young children and youth.

Therapists work with guardians and children to develop a therapy plan.

Therapeutic relationship is based on trust and safety and provided at child’s developmental level.

One focus is to help children understand/discuss/question traumatic experiences.

Therapists use a variety of evidence-based interventions to support children/youth.

Clients receive psychoeducation on power and control, coping skills, trauma responses, boundaries, dating violence, and a variety of other topics provided at an age appropriate level.
Support Groups

Groups are provided for adult survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Groups focus on a variety of topics such as boundaries, grief, survivor support, art therapy, safety, self-care, self-compassion and more.

Groups provide a safe space for survivors to interact with one another and a space to destigmatize the survivor experience and the long-term impact trauma can have.
